Windows · NSFW blocker

Block porn. Keep your focus.

Syndicor is a porn and NSFW blocker for Windows, tied to an account you control. It filters system-wide, in every browser and app, and tamper protection means a weak moment cannot simply switch it off.

Windows 10 and 11 No browsing history leaves your PC

Features

Built to hold, not just to block

Six things a blocker has to get right before it is worth installing.

System-wide blocking

Adult sites are blocked at the DNS level and again inside the browser, so it covers every browser and every app on the PC, not just one extension.

Tamper protection

Pausing or uninstalling Syndicor needs your account password and a cooldown you choose, from minutes to days. The background service restarts itself if it is stopped.

Safe search enforcement

Strict SafeSearch is forced on Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo, and YouTube runs in Restricted Mode, so explicit results stay out of search and video.

Custom lists

Add your own block and allow lists. They are saved to your account, so a reinstall or a second PC picks them up as soon as you sign in.

Accountability

Optionally name a partner. They get a weekly summary by email: how many blocks there were and whether protection stayed on. Never the actual URLs.

Lightweight and private

A small background service, no browser toolbar and no telemetry about what you browse. Filtering decisions are made on your PC.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs on its own

Your account holds the settings; the app on each PC enforces them.

Step 1: Create your account

Sign up with a username and email address, then confirm the address from the link we send you.

Step 2: Install Syndicor on Windows

Run the installer and sign in with the account key from your dashboard. That links the PC to your account.

Step 3: Protection is on

Blocking starts right away. Your lists and settings follow your account, so every PC you install it on behaves the same way.

Why Syndicor

Built for people who want it to stick

Most blockers fail the same way: in a weak moment, the person who installed them turns them off. Syndicor is designed around that moment. Pausing takes your password and a cooldown you chose on a clear-headed day, and if you set up an accountability partner, they will know protection was off.

It is also built to stay out of your way the rest of the time. There is no toolbar, no pop-ups and no report about what you looked at. It blocks what you asked it to block and keeps quiet.

FAQ

Questions people ask before installing

Straight answers, including the ones about limits.

Yes. Creating an account is free and the Windows app will be free to download when it ships. If we add paid extras later, they will be optional and clearly marked.

Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit, with administrator rights to install. The exact download size and runtime requirements are listed with each release on the download page. There is no macOS, Linux or mobile version at the moment.

Syndicor makes bypassing much harder: pausing or uninstalling needs your password plus the cooldown you set, the service restarts itself if it is killed, and blocking happens both at the DNS level and inside the browser.

No filter is perfect, though. Someone with administrator rights, time and determination can defeat any software that runs on their own PC. That is exactly why the cooldown and the accountability partner exist: they turn a two-second decision into one you have to sit with.

Private or incognito windows are covered, because filtering happens at the system level rather than through a browser extension that can be disabled.

VPN apps are the usual way around DNS filtering. The browser-level layer still applies inside the browser, and blocking known VPN clients while protection is on is on our list for the tamper-protection settings.

No. Filtering decisions are made on your PC. The app only sends your account a daily count of blocked requests, your settings, the device name and the app version, so your dashboard can show that protection is on. No page URLs, no search terms, no history, no screenshots.

Open Syndicor, choose Turn off protection, enter your account password and wait for the cooldown you set. Once protection is off, uninstall it like any other program from Windows Settings › Apps. If you have forgotten your password, reset it from the website first.

Yes, if you are the parent or guardian. Install it on their PC under your account; they never need your password, and only you can pause or remove it. Keep in mind that Syndicor is a content blocker, not a full parental-control suite: there are no screen-time limits and no activity reports that show what was visited.

The website and accounts are live. The Windows app is in development. Create your account now so it is ready on day one; the download appears on the download page and in your dashboard the moment it ships, with your account key and settings already in place.
